Dr.ssa. med. Helen Schaufelberger works at the Gastrocentro Lugano as a physician specialised in gastroenterology and hepatology.

After completing her studies at the University of Basel (CH), she completed her specialisation in gastroenterology and hepatology working at the University Hospital Basel as well as in several hospitals in England, UK.

Dr. med. H. Schaufelberger, who currently works part-time, receives patients for diagnostic tests, specialist consultations and second opinions, by appointment and according to availability, making a special effort to ensure complete care, especially for patients who prefer to be treated by a female gastroenterologist.

During her long career in gastroenterology, Dr. med. H. Schaufelberger was, among other roles, president of the Swiss Society of Proctology as well as president of the Association of Gastroenterologists of Italian Switzerland (AGASI).
